A big thought, put concisely.

It seems to me that too many Christians have their motives confused. Matthew and James say that by their fruit/works you will know they are Christians. It seems people are harvesting fruit/works so "you" will know they are Christians rather than allowing it to be an outpouring of the heart.

The Dudes Should Abide

I read Romans this morning, and this passage hovered out in the distance like a gold bar, not silver, but gold.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.
17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”[a] says the Lord. 20 Therefore

“ If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head

My Fair Lady.

Levi found himself his first fair romance.

Mom was gone so the boys ate out for dinner.

This is the look I get when I say we've had enough cotton candy.

Admiring himself.

This was all he wanted out of the fair.

Riding the slide with vigor.

Focused.

Chorus to a song I probably will never finish

I have had this song forever, and always wanted to do something with it. I always had knew it was rad, because the melodies were enless in opportunity. Interestingly I have always been against writing about God directly in music due to the cheese factor. Maybe I was ashamed of faith and God. I guess i dont care anymore, the lyrics always came out with direct spiritual words when i hummed the tune creatively. It makes sense now.

We are all part of His creation,
The lives He came to save.
This life,religion was my fabrication,
Now I can live what He gave.

Stuff we did in NYC

Davis got married. We had an ok time in a city where nothing is convenient unless you like traffic, crowded trains that take forever to get anywhere, muggy air, no sunlight, expensive everything, tight living, police sirens waking you up everynight because nobody obeys the law, streetsalesmen harassing you, hit and runs on rental cars we had, 3hours in traffic trying to make a 12 mile trip. If you like all those conveniences, then nyc is the place for you. It actually was a pretty fun time if you just stay inside with your friends. here are some pics

My wife is hot, Something happened in the museum that night.

Third Eye Blind

The new album is out, Ursa Major. It sucks the big one. I wasnt expecting anything from the last one on out to ever amount to anything due to the firing of the soul of the band in 2000. But if you want to confirm it, you can buy it for 4 bucks! ha! Its a bunch of gay slow songs and non interesting riffs or even musical happenings. The drums suck, the guitars suck, and the vocals are as gay as ever. The lyrics used to be cool and raw and alternative and about cool things or stories. Now its just gay one-liners and talk about plasma tv's and ipods. Its fairly embarassing to listen to. Oh that they bring back their guitarist and make good music once again.

Still No Action

We recently moved into a duplex, after selling our house. We went on vacation. I havent played my guitars in 3 weeks. I have no riffs to share. I will try to do something, because i know there are at least 2 of you out there waiting to hear a face melting solo, or a rad riff, but maybe just one person. My site doesnt get much traffic anymore, I thought maybe because my upkeep and my riffs werent as hot, but i really think its because i havent written a heated article on Logos School in a while.

2nd degree Burns

I havent had any hot riffs to share lately, because i got 2nd degree burns on my magic fingers, right on the tips from touching a muffler. I usually grab hot mufflers every friday, but that time it was just hotter than normal so i got some burns. I just started getting back on the axe and hope to be riffin' soon.

Clarifying Axe Inventory

So I ran into Wes Callihan at loco grinz downtown and we were speaking briefly about my guitar inventory, and while i was impressed with his memory on this front; I also felt that I needed to properly introduce the family. These are my electrics. Not as many as I use to have, but i have since moved from quantity to quality. I will introduce the rest of the family(acoustics) later.

This is my custom MJ Mirage my wife bought me when i was 24. It was built with an ebony neck with pearl inlay roman numeral XII on the 12th fret. I had all the pearl dots removed on the rest of the neck to get that clean smooth look to it. It has a seymour duncan humbucker and 2 seymour single coils. The paint as you can see is color-shifting paint. It goes from blue to red to purple and sometimes aqua green depending on the lighting im under. I typically use it for softer music, because the clean sound this guitar gets is unmatchable. Its sustain and overall tone is majestic.

This is my PRS 20th Anniversary 24 fret limited edition that was in production for 1 year. It has the trail of birds flying up the neck which is different from their traditional layout. This is my most played guitar, because it is the most versatile. I can bust out some heavy metal lick, soft rock, or even worship tunes with this bad boy. Everything that comes out of this guitar sounds great. It is easy to play, and incredibly comfortable to solo on. I got him when i was in colorado about 5 years ago, i was 22 i think. My wife and I went into Spotlight music, and were looking at the expensive price tag, and werent too hot on that. But after talking to the store owner and finding out we lived in the same town as his daughter and knew a few mutual people, she got excited. I told her i bought a an emerald prs at her store 2 years prior and i loved their service even though it was far from home. She then said that the students were gone for the summer and she didnt think she would push anymore out the door. So she pretty much gave me the guitar at cost. It was at that point my wife became the apple of my eye.

This is my PRS CE 22. It was the first "real" guitar i ever had. I guess by that i mean first guitar that out performed all the entry level guitars i have ever had, by leaps and bounds. This emerald guitar, is not only easy to play, but is a powerhouse. Its dragon II pickups are so hot, they will melt your face. I plug this bad boy in when im ready to bring the thunder. I dont use it so much for softer music or even alternative, its pretty much a hard rock, angry guitar. I bought this one in colorado as well im pretty sure when i was 20. I couldnt even believe i bought it.

Last, my newest addition is the Schecter Omen. Unlike all my other guitars this one, is very cheap, price-wise. I only paid 150 for it, i think they retail at 350 or so. Schecter is one of those brands along with Ibanez that price is not as important on some levels. As far as its playability and its structural quality its well worth it. The few areas it doesnt match up to the others is, versatility, overal sound quality, and its ability to stay in tune for months like a prs can. But besides that it plays well, it offers a sound none of my other guitars have. Which is a deep low, bassy, gravely clean sound. And when you hit the distortion it turns really muddy, its a really cool sounding guitar.

That is my electric collection for now. Hopefully someday i will obtain my dream of a PRS private stock.

4 cop cars, 1 fire truck, 1 ambulance

I was disturbed in my sleep by a loud screech followed by a crash. And the picture above is what i saw, minus the people. A guy stubled out of the car. I called it in, but someone already had, which amazed me, because i was up instantly and called within 1 minute or less of the impact. I gotta hand it to whoever beat me to it, way to be up at 5 am and alert enough to call quickly. The guy had to have been on some stubstance, because he crashed into this house in such a way that he had to have been going the wrong way on the street or using the roundabout incorrectly. There is no way, at the speeds he would have had to have been traveling to do the damage he did, that he was using the roundabout correctly, or even going the correct direction. The impact into that house was at such and angle that he couldnt have avoided all the trees and posts from the west side, so he either flew down joseph, up over the roundabout, and smacked the house. Or he flew in from out of town and took a hard left into the house. Either way, drugs or alcohol, in my mind. The funny thing about this is the moscow pd response time. After i called in, and they said officers and meds were already on their way. It must have taken 10-15 before they showed up. And when they did show up, it was nice, there were 4 cop cars. The hilarious thing was, the fire truck showed up like 5 mins after the cops, and the ambulance showed up last like several minutes after the firetruck. If this had been a noise complaint, or jaywalking, or davis rollerblading on the street; the cops would have been there in 2 minutes flat. Seems like anytime something real happens, all the cops are sleeping or eating donuts.

Yet Another

This was nate and I playing a worship song. We tried to make it a little more interesting than the original, and we did. Its nice how nate likes to make noise on his guitar not knowing the guitars volume is up. Also note nate is singing with his old girlfriend, so special.

Nate and I in the old days

I found these on an old video camera. It is hilarious. But we still kicked butt as sloppy of worship as it was.

Haha nate being a faggot with super gay floppy wrist.
