I cant figure where i pulled this out of. I made it up right before i recorded it, so it doesnt really follow. But i thought it had enough merit as a rad idea to save in the archives.

My video game song
Its a standard riff that the walkdown thingy gets used a lot, but i like it and want to incorperate it into something somehow, and i havent figured it out either.
Another riff
This one i like, but cant remeber if i posted before. I still strugle with the hameroff or pulloff whatever you call it. i cant do it quite fast enough either, but the idea is there.
Idea 1
here is one riff, i got the riff but i cant come up with anything past it. and its not fast enough yet, im still having a hard time playing it.

Writers Block
Ive been working on 3 huge songs. One of which is my Opus, which probably wont see the light of day for a while. But the other 2 i cant seem to make progress on. Sometimes when i write the chorus of a song that is the greatest thing i have ever heard, i cant put a verse to it, because nothing, no chord arrangement is as great, or just doesnt seem to fit. Its like trying to pair some doritos with filet mignon. Im stumped for now. A few more hours brainstorming on the toilet with my acoustic might find me an answer, but my acoustic is out of commission due to a string failure. I will try to get the progress up for the 4 of you who read this to see, as soon as the creative juices flow once more.

The Guys
I am going to revisit the days of old a little more. This stuff is classic. This video is so classic as is the song. How many memories does seeing/hearing this bring back? classic.

Fatness
So i was watching the news and saw a clip of a contest that was being done by krispykreme. They were having some sort of 2.2 mile running contest. The deal was, if they ran from somewhere to krispykreme, ate 12 donuts then ran back, the winner would receive some sort of krispy kreme certificate or something and probably some donation would be made to make krispy look loving. So This isnt bad at all, i thought it might be funny. Untill i saw a clip of all the runners. I have never seen so many FAT people come out of the woodwork when they have the option for 12 free donuts on the run and possibility for more later. It shows those lazy fatasses will get up off of theirs, if they have an opportunity to grow horizontally. fat people suck.

Unbelievable
It should be a record. I break probably the least amount of strings of anyone i know. I use to break a lot of them. But now i have figured out the easy combo it takes to keep strings alive. I have had this guitar for about 3 years or so. I have played it daily. I keep it in the bathroom and play it there. I take it with me whenever i travel, it has a lot of miles on it as well as on the fretboard. Since i bought it about 3 years ago, i have had 1 set of strings on it. Elixers. I bought this set of strings and i give a lot of the credit to those strings and some to my use of light picks.38mm. Here is a picture of the death of the stringset. I have to replace the whole set, because they are obviously old strings and a new one will stick out like a sore thumb.

Days of old
I was listening to third today and really enjoying them from a different perspective than i ever had. I decided that their first 2 albums were some of the greatest music I have heard. Best songwriting, great skill, excellent all around. I found a video of them playing wounded off their second album. I couldnt find any old videos with them playing with kevin their original guitarist. So you will have to deal with some fag in a big fluffy jacket playing each chord like its some kind of magic trick. Since its not quite the way it use to be, listen mostly to Brad on the drums. He has stayed solid and faithfully transmitted the drums through time. I still believe brad is one of the best drummers i have ever heard. His speed and precision is beyond me. His ideas and where he places his fills are so out there. If you pay attention to how he places these fills with the guitarist its insane, who could have thought of it?

Song of Majestic Proportions
This is an acoustic wonder i created. It wasnt hard by any means to write. I just was playing open chords which is rare for me. And i really liked how these sounded together with an easy rhythm. So i threw a little tag riff in at the end that is supposed to be played over the main chords but i cant do that without 4 arms and 2 guitars, so imagine it if you can.

Can an old dog learn new tricks?
I found a video of me playing drums a year ago or something, and it was full of rad ideas, but terrible execution and poor rhythm. I dont think i have practiced or played consistently in 8 years. Is this the end of my percussive career, or does anyone think there is any hope for a rocky balboa comeback?

Better than I thought
I thought this might take me a year or two to get. But after you get over the first hurdle on this thing, it really starts to take shape. I spent probably a month or so just butchering this thing all over the place. I sounded like a kid learning the violin. Its still rough and isnt as tight as i want it or nearly as fast, but im getting the idea i think check out the progress.

We must have the same blood in us
My wife posted this as well, but i thought i would too because its so great. Every time i start busting riffs, he pushes open the door and waltzes on in to dance, whether he's clothed or not.

Little Seasonal Festivities
I have actually been more seasonably festive this year with guitar riffs. Maybe i had a kid and i got soft. Maybe im just bored on the guitar and uninspired with new material. Ill bet on the latter. I wrote this in a hurry, so be gentle on the rhythm and tightness of chops on it, i know its mediocre. I just dont care enough.
My Next Project
This is what i hope to be doin in about a year. Sweep picking is one of the hardest things known to guitarists. Im sure if i had all day to practice it might only take me a couple months, but being that i only have time to play 2-3 times a week for an hour or so, it might take me a while. The beginning of the video is not the sweep im learning. It is the 6 string sweep that sounds like pure glory.

Kickass
I was listening to alterbridge's new album. At first i was not too impressed compared to the first album, but i will say as i listened to it more and more, it started to become evident to me that i was still not too impressed. Nonetheless, there are still a few insane songs, i will put them in one by one.
the bridge in this one is insane
the riff in this one can make a grown man cry.
