Best Albums

This is a small list i came up with when i was driving home from spokane the other day and was listening to an old band called Injected. I ran into this band when i saw their video on mtv. It played for a week then never was on again, and the band was never heard from again. Their label made some changes and the band separated and started family lives. It was a shame, i bought the cd and it was similar to a few other albums i know of. Similar in the sense that they all are perfect albums. you can listen all the way through the album without being tempted to change the track. Every song is solid to me on these cd's. I would call this my list of, not greatest bands necessarily, but greatest cd's made. Lots of bands like Led Zep and AcDc were better in a lot of ways, but none of those huge bands ever made a cd that was perfect. There were always like 5 songs that blew your mind, but another 5-6 that you didnt care at all for. Here is the list.

Third eye blind -self titled
Metallica- Black album
Metallica- load
Metallica- reload
Injected- Self titled
Collective soul- dosage

Honorable mention Incubus- Make yourself
I almost listed this, but the track "drive" is probably the most homosexual song they ever wrote, and maybe of all time. It was clearly written for radio, because it doesnt fit on the album.

3EB is a great album, and semi-charmed life - like gibbs once pointed out - was the best song of the nineties.

That first track (privilege) on make yourself is actually kind of gay. Mostly because of the riff. The only thing i like about it is the rythm in the verse.

Well, gun that makes sense. Because if you were fully heterosexual it wouldnt seem gay, because its a rad, incredibly raw and rhythmic riff. If you are more on the homo side of things, it would make sense that you would call it gay. maybe im wrong, All that muddy distortion, squealing octave bend after each riff, pouding drums, yeah that must be gay.

well, you know me. I do happen to like men. Jason, the honest truth is that i am looking for your approval of me being with my new life partner, Justyn. And since you so know much about our culture, we would totally like it if you did relationship counseling with us.

But what I really have to say is that starting riff is cheesy. the rest of the song is awesome. When it comes to riffs, that riff is the grey matter of all riffs. It does nothing but fill up space.

Gunn, i would like to say that you are filling up space in my comments section with a comment like that, or maybe air is filling up space in your head. I think the problem is you dont know or understand riffs and rhythms. If you would throw that garbage you call music by ben folds in the trash, and started listening to some face-melting rock, you might like that riff. Or if you played that riff through a prs and a mesa boogie 150watt amp in double overdrive with that funked out rhythm, you might see a few hairs poke out of your chest, or maybe even get a few to fill out on your face. But until then, maybe you should lay low on the piano music while trying to appreciate guitar music.

Jason you can suggest all kinds of ways for me to listen to it, but its not going to change the fact that it is a gay riff.
